If you answered yes, then DanceSport BC can help you make your event even more spectacular! DanceSport BC provides local competitive ballroom dance couples to perform at your event. Fees range from $50-$500 per dance per couple* (special consideration for charitable organizations). Our dance couples can perform the following:
Standard Dances:
- Waltz
- Tango
- Viennese Waltz
- Slow Foxtrot
- Quickstep
Latin-American Dances:
- Samba
- Cha Cha
- Rumba
- Paso Doble
- Jive
All dance couples will perform in competition dress. During Standard dances, the gentleman is usually in a tail suit and the lady in a flowing ball gown (special show dances may use different costuming). During Latin dances, the costumes are more risqué.

What is DanceSport BC?
DanceSport BC regulates and governs dancesport competitions in British Columbia. We also encourage and promote amateur sport dancing by representing the interests of social and competitive dancers.
Information Requirements:
- Date and location of event
- Number of dance couples requested
- Music system provided or required
Demonstration Requirements:
- Dance floor dimensions (Min 20’ X 20’ for Standard and Min 10’ X 10’ for Latin)
- Dressing Room
- Hardwood flooring preferable
- Water
* All monies received for demonstration couples are deposited to a trust fund, to be used to further their dancing careers.
