DanceSport BC

The Island Fantasy Ball held in Nanaimo on May 2-3 was a huge success and enjoyed by all the competitors. This year, the organizers elected to broaden the depth of competition rather than bringing in a professional showcase couple. They invited couples from across Canada as well as the USA and overseas for Open championship events, as well as holding the BC Closed Championships in 3 different age categories. The event took place over two days instead of the one-day schedule of prior years. Couples were extremely pleased to have semi and quarter final rounds where in past years many of those events were only finals.

Membership renewal time!

A reminder to DanceSport BC members that the membership year runs from June 1 to May 31 each year. So it’s time to renew your membership for the 2009/2010 membership year. Those planning to compete in June events will need to renew immediately, as we need time to process the applications prior to the competitions. [...]
